Canvas Shade Table Lamp – Espresso or Cream, Bedside & Console

The table version of the canvas-shaded lamp, in Espresso or Cream. At table height the shade sits below eye level for anyone standing and roughly at eye level for anyone seated, which changes what the fabric has to do. A table lamp's shade is looked into far more often than a floor lamp's, and canvas is opaque enough that the light source inside is never on show.

Canvas is a plain, tight weave with a flat matte face, so it holds a crisp shape on its frame without the slow sag that looser fabrics develop over years. Dust sits on the outside of a tight weave rather than working into it, so it brushes off. The two colorways differ mainly in how much light escapes sideways: the dark canvas keeps it in, the pale one lets it through and the shade itself glows.

It works on a nightstand, a console, or a desk where a compact footprint matters. Cream is the choice if the lamp is the main light in the room; Espresso if there is already ambient light and what is wanted is a defined pool on the surface below it.
