A sectional with powered recline, in one colorway, Napa Sandstone. Power recline means the mechanism is driven rather than sprung, so the backrest and footrest travel under a motor and hold wherever they are left instead of stopping at fixed detents.

Reclining seating asks more of a frame than fixed seating does, because the load moves. As the back goes down and the footrest comes up, the center of gravity travels rearward and the whole weight ends up over a smaller footprint. The mechanism boxes have to be tied into the frame to absorb that, and the fabric across the moving sections has to tolerate being stretched and released repeatedly rather than simply sat on.

This is built for a room where the sofa is the destination: a den or a media room where people settle for a couple of hours rather than perch. Sandstone is warm and mid-toned, which keeps a large piece from dominating.
