Iron Hanging Planter – Black or Gold, Oval or Round Wall Planter

This planter hangs on a wall rather than standing on a surface, which changes what it can hold: the pot has to be light enough for the fixing, and the plant has to look right seen from below rather than from above. Two shapes are offered, Oval and Round, in two finishes, Black and Gold.

Iron is the right material for something carrying weight off a wall, because stiffness rather than strength is what the job needs, and a thin iron section holds a load that would require a much bulkier bracket in wood or plastic. Iron's weakness is corrosion, which is why the finish on a planter matters more than it would on a picture frame: anything holding damp soil sits permanently in the conditions that start rust, and the coating is the only thing between the two.

Gold against a dark wall reads as a bright outline. Black against a pale one draws the shape more sharply. Both suit a kitchen, a bathroom, or a stairwell where there is no floor space for a plant.
