Faux jute, woven, in Grey, White or Brown, at 40 x 60 cm, 50 x 80 cm or 60 x 90 cm. The weave imitates the flat braided look of a real jute mat, but the fiber underneath is polypropylene, and that is the difference that lets it sit outside a door through a wet season.

Real jute at a doorway fails in one specific way. It takes up water, stays wet underneath where air cannot reach it, and rots from the backing upward. Polypropylene woven to look the same absorbs almost nothing, so the mat dries out after rain instead of holding damp against the step. A rubber backing keeps it flat and stops it travelling on a smooth threshold.

White shows the most and suits a covered porch that stays dry. Grey and Brown are the choices for an open doorway taking weather directly. All three sizes fit standard door widths, with the largest suited to a double entry.
