Leather Back Dining Chair – Walnut, White Oak or Ebony Frame

Every variant names three things in order: the seat, the leather back, and the frame. Oat Woven Seat over Saddle Leather Back on White Oak is a different chair from Cabernet Velvet Seat over Black Leather Back on Ebony Oak, though the shape is the same. Fourteen combinations in total, with seats in woven, basketweave, velvet or leather, and the back always in leather.

Putting leather on the back specifically is a wear decision. The back of a dining chair gets pushed against, gripped when the chair is pulled out, and rubbed by whatever is behind it. Leather absorbs that better than a woven or pile seat fabric would, and it can be a different material from the seat without the chair looking assembled from parts, because the frame ties the two together.

Frames come in Walnut, White Oak and Ebony Oak, which sets how strongly the chair reads against a table. Ebony frames with velvet seats are the darkest of the set; Oat Woven on White Oak is the lightest.
