Made For Everyday Living
Built to last

A flush ceiling lamp built from three materials: a glass diffuser, a wood element and an iron frame. Three materials on a fixture this small is unusual, and each is doing a distinct job here rather than being present for variety. It comes in one version, with no finish or size to choose between.

Iron takes the load and the ceiling fixing, because it is the only one of the three stiff enough to hold a flush fixture tight against a ceiling without flexing away from it at the edges. Glass handles the light, diffusing it and wiping clean of the dust that settles on any upward-facing surface. Wood is the part that gives the fixture something to be in daylight, when the light is off and a glass-and-metal fitting alone would read as hardware.

It suits a hallway, a bedroom or a landing with a low ceiling, where a pendant would simply be in the way. Flush and neutral in finish, it is a fixture chosen to work rather than to be noticed.

Even Light, No Glare

Light is spread rather than dumped into one harsh circle, so faces stay lit and the room feels warm rather than clinical.

Sculpture When It Is Off

Kavora Living chose the glass and wood ceiling lamp because it still earns its place in daylight, which is more than half the hours you look at it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How high should it hang?

Over a dining table, aim for roughly 75 to 90 centimetres between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture. Elsewhere, keep the lowest point above head height.

Can the drop be adjusted?

Yes, at installation, which is how the glass and wood ceiling lamp suits standard and high ceilings alike.

Do I need an electrician?

A hardwired fixture should be fitted by a qualified electrician. It is a short job and it keeps the wiring sound.

What bulbs does it take?

Standard sockets, so warm white LEDs around 2700K give you the light shown here.

Will it suit a low ceiling?

It can. Shorten the drop at installation and the glass and wood ceiling lamp sits close enough to work in a standard height room.
