Outdoor Area Rug – Heathered Natural, Weather Resistant Weave

Heathered Natural is a single colorway built from more than one shade of yarn: lighter and darker strands carried together so the field reads as mottled sand rather than one flat tone. On an outdoor rug that mottling is practical as much as decorative, since a dropped leaf or a dry footprint disappears into it instead of sitting on top of it. Three sizes are offered: 5' x 8', 8' x 10' and 9' x 12'.

An outdoor weave has to survive two things an indoor rug never faces: direct sun for hours at a stretch, and water that has nowhere to go. The construction here is open enough that rain drains through the rug rather than pooling underneath it. That matters twice over, since trapped water is what marks a deck board and what keeps a rug damp long after the weather has cleared.

It goes on a deck, a patio, or a porch, under a table or a lounge set. The 9' x 12' is the size that lets a full outdoor dining set sit on the rug with chairs pulled back onto it. The 5' x 8' suits a pair of chairs and a small table.
