Wool Area Rug – Neutral Alabaster or Granite Colorway, 6x10 to 10x13

Grey and off-white are the two colorways that punish a poorly made rug fastest, because there is no pattern to hide behind. Wool earns its place here for a specific reason: the fiber's surface scales scatter light, so a solid wool field never reads as a flat printed plane the way a synthetic solid does. The same scales are why wool resists soiling — dirt sits on the fiber rather than bonding into it, and vacuuming lifts most of it out.

Used at these sizes, the rug is a ground layer for a whole room. Alabaster opens up a dark floor; Granite gives a pale room something to sit against. Both take a strong sofa or a wood table without competing with it.
