Linen Throw Pillow – Bone, Plum or Ochre, 12x48 and 24x24 Sizes

The two sizes here sit unusually far apart. A 24-inch square is a large sofa or floor cushion, big enough to change the proportions of a seat. A 12 by 48 is a four-foot rectangle that runs the whole back of a bench or a daybed. Four Laughlin colorways are offered, spanning near-white through deep red-purple to mustard and brown: Bone, Plum, Ochre and Cafe.

Linen holds saturated color in a particular way. The fiber varies in thickness along its length, so dye takes unevenly at a very small scale and a linen plum looks slightly broken rather than flat, which the same shade would not do in a synthetic. That same irregularity is why linen creases visibly, and why the creasing reads as character on a cushion and as carelessness on a shirt.

The long rectangle is the more specific of the two, suiting a window seat, a bench, or the head of a bed used as a backrest. The square is a general-purpose cushion for deep seating.
