Silk screening on glass means the pattern is pushed through a fine mesh stencil directly onto the surface, one color per pass, which gives flat, hard-edged areas of color rather than the graded tones a transfer or a photographic print produces. Printing onto glass is a different problem from printing onto paper, since glass gives ink nothing to soak into.
