Romano Fosse travertine, named for the specific stone rather than described as a color. Travertine from different quarries varies in its banding and in how open its voids are, so naming the stone is a way of naming the pattern that will actually arrive.

A solid stone table is one material doing every job at once, acting as surface, structure and weight with no base of a second material beneath it. That makes the piece extremely stable and extremely heavy, and it means any damage is to the object itself rather than to a finish laid over it.
