Hand Knotted Wool Area Rug – Fog or Olive Colorway, Up to 12x15

The room-size version of the Fog and Olive hand knotted wool, in four sizes from 8' x 10' up to 12' x 15'. Fog is a cool grey. Olive is a muted green that behaves as a neutral in most rooms rather than reading as a color, which is what makes it usable across a whole floor.

Olive is an unusual thing to hand knot in wool, because a muted green needs dye sitting deep and evenly in the fiber or it turns grey within a few years of window light. Wool takes it. The knot-by-knot construction adds slight tonal variation between adjacent tufts, and that variation is what keeps the field from flattening into a single dull value across twelve feet.

The 12' x 15' is the size for a large open room where the seating group and the walkways around it all sit on the rug. The 8' x 10' fits a standard living room with floor showing at the edges.
