Strap Back Counter and Bar Stool – Leather, Boucle or Velvet

Dowels are turned in Walnut or White Oak, and the stool comes at 24 inches for a counter or 30 inches for a bar.
A strap back on a stool does more work than it appears to. The straps tie the two rear uprights together and absorb the twist that comes from someone turning sideways at a counter, which is a movement stools get constantly and dining chairs mostly do not. Because the back is open, no strap conceals a joint, so the dowel connections at the seat are fully visible and have to be made properly.
