Boucle & Wool Area Rug – Beige, Amber or Moss, Soft Textured

The wool version of the boucle weave, without cotton in the blend, offered in the same three colorways: Beige, Amber and Moss. Dropping the cotton makes the loops fuller and the hand softer. That is the difference worth knowing if both versions are on the table, since the colors and the sizes are otherwise identical.

Wool boucle is the softer of the two constructions because the fiber itself has loft. Each strand is crimped, so a loop spun from wool alone stands proud of the surface and compresses further before it bottoms out. That gives more cushion underfoot, at the cost of holding a furniture mark slightly longer, though the same crimp is what eventually lifts the mark out again.

Sizes are 5'7" x 7'9", 6'6" x 9'8" and 8'3" x 11'6". Wool boucle suits a bedroom or a sitting room, where softness counts for more than the harder wear a hallway or an entry demands.
