Outdoor Stool – Woven Cord, Textured Sand Finish

A stool wrapped in woven cord, in a single finish called Textured Sand, a pale warm neutral with the weave legible across the whole surface. Because the cord is the surface rather than a cover over one, the texture is structural: there is nothing to remove, replace or slipcover.

Woven cord is the outdoor answer to upholstery. It gives a seat some yield without a cushion, and because the weave is open, water runs off and through it rather than soaking into a filled pad. Nothing has to be carried inside when it rains and nothing has to be re-covered when a fabric gives out. The trade is that the surface cannot be stripped and washed the way a slipcover can.

It works as a footrest beside a lounge chair, as an extra seat when a patio fills up, or as a low surface for a tray. Small and light enough to move with one hand, which is most of what a stool is for.
