Outdoor Dining Chair – Teak Frame, Boucle Seat & Woven Rope

A dining chair combining three materials: a teak frame, a boucle seat in Dove or Slate, and woven outdoor rope in Tan. Two combinations are offered, differing only in the boucle. Dove is the pale grey and Slate the deeper one; the rope stays Tan in both, so the warm tone runs through either version.

The rope is the part doing structural work rather than decorative. Woven outdoor rope spans the frame and takes the load, while the boucle sits on top as a cushion, which is why the seat has give without a thick pad. Outdoor rope holds its color because the pigment is in the filament rather than on it, and it dries fast after rain since a woven span has air on both sides of it.

Dining chairs take more traffic than lounge seating: pulled out, sat in, pushed back, several times a meal. The teak frame carries that, and the rope span means the seat is not holding water when it is next used.
