Concrete Pendant Light – Metal Fitting, Six Shapes and Sizes

A concrete pendant offered in six models that run from narrow and tall to wide and short: Model A is ⌀ 6 × H 35 cm, Model F is ⌀ 25 × H 20 cm, and B through E step between the two. That progression is the useful part — the same material and the same fitting can produce a slim tube or a broad cone depending on which model is chosen.

Concrete is unusual overhead because of its weight, and everything about the fixture follows from that. It needs a fixing into structure rather than into plasterboard, and the metal fitting has to carry a load no glass shade of the same size would ever impose. In return, concrete is completely opaque and matte, so it throws a hard-edged downward light with no glow through the shade at all, and its surface carries the fine pitting left by the cast.

The narrow models suit a row above a counter or a bar, where several tubes read as a rhythm. The wider models suit a single hanging point over a table. Mixing models along one run gives varied spread from one material.
