Moroccan Hand Knotted Wool Rug – Espresso, 8x10 to 10x14

Espresso is the only colorway: a dark brown, deep enough to read almost black from across a room. The rug is hand knotted in wool on a cotton foundation and carries Moroccan pattern work, the open irregular line-and-lozenge geometry of Berber weaving rather than the dense repeating medallions of Persian tradition.

Moroccan pattern depends on the empty field between the lines as much as on the lines themselves, which is why knot work matters here. Each tuft is tied by hand to the cotton foundation, so the drawn lines stay slightly uneven from row to row as they cross the rug. That irregularity is the character of the style, and it is the part machine reproduction cannot manage.

A dark rug at 8' x 10' or larger is a floor rather than an accent. It grounds pale walls and light furniture, and it conceals what gets tracked across it far better than any light colorway.
