Glass Globe Wall Sconce – Black or Gold Metal, Bathroom & Hallway

A glass globe held on a black or gold metal arm and mounted to a wall. A globe is the wall format that does most to reduce glare in a small room: because a sphere emits evenly in every direction there is no bright edge and no dark side, so it never creates the hard hotspot that a directional sconce throws onto the wall beside it.

The material split is straightforward, and it matters in a bathroom. The metal arm carries the fixing and the wiring; the glass globe is a sealed, non-porous shape with no fabric and no seams to hold moisture. Glass also wipes clean of the film that builds up in a room with a shower in it — something a fabric or paper shade could not survive for long.

It suits a bathroom, either side of a mirror, or a hallway needing a compact fixture at head height. Black reads as hardware and disappears against a dark wall; gold reads as a fitting and holds its own against a pale one.
