Boucle Throw Pillow – Moss, 20x20 and 12x48, Cover or Insert

Solema Moss is a green named accurately: the muted, faintly gray green of actual moss rather than a bright leaf or a deep forest shade. It comes in a 20-inch square or a 12 by 48 length, which is a four-foot rectangle rather than anything a sofa would call a lumbar. Either size can be ordered as a cover on its own.

Boucle earns its surface from the yarn rather than the weave. Spinning one ply loosely against a tighter one makes the slack ply buckle into loops, and a cloth full of those loops scatters light in every direction instead of reflecting it back in a sheet. On a green this softens the color noticeably. The same dye in a flat weave would read considerably more solid and more saturated.

The long rectangle suits a bench, a window seat, or the back of a daybed. The square goes anywhere a standard cushion goes, and the looped surface gives a plain sofa something to read as texture.
