Swivel Accent Chair – Leather, Velvet or Shearling Upholstery

Seven upholsteries spanning three very different surfaces: Nubuck Cognac and Antwerp Cafe in leather, Sheldon Ivory and Surrey Cocoa in velvet, and shearling in Taupe, Beige and Cocoa. Nubuck is a sanded leather, so it carries a faint nap of its own and sits between the leather and shearling ends of that range.

The same chair in shearling and in nubuck is effectively two different things to sit in. Shearling insulates and holds warmth against you; nubuck stays nearer room temperature and marks with directional streaks when brushed. Because this is a swivel, the seat rotates on a central bearing while the base stays put, so whichever upholstery is chosen, none of it is carrying structure.

Three of the seven are shearling, which says something about where this chair is expected to go: bedrooms, reading corners, and rooms that want a soft object rather than another hard-edged one.
