Table & Wall Lamp – Oak or Black Ash, Bedside and Wall Mount

One fixture with two ways of being installed: it stands on a surface as a table lamp, or mounts to a wall and frees the surface underneath entirely. The body is wood — Oak, which is pale with an open, visible grain, or Black Ash, darkened so the grain reads as texture rather than as color.

Wood is the reason the dual mounting works. It is light enough to hang without heavy structural fixings, and it stays warm to the touch in a way that a metal fixture beside a bed does not. Oak and ash are both ring-porous hardwoods, so the grain runs in long directional lines rather than swirling; each body is cut from a different part of the board, and the figure will not repeat exactly between two of them.

It answers the bedside problem where the nightstand is too small to hold a lamp, a book and a glass of water at once. Mounted on the wall above, it gives the light back and takes no surface. On a wider nightstand it can simply stand instead.
