7-Light Glass Cluster Chandelier – Brass, Gunmetal or Bronze Finish

Seven glass shades gathered onto one frame and hung at staggered heights rather than in a single plane — which is what makes this a cluster rather than a row. The metalwork comes in Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal or Heritage Bronze Brass, and the glass in two styles: Clear, which is even and transparent, or Organic, which is irregular and pulls the light about as it passes through.

A cluster of seven small shades gives a different quality of light from one large fixture. Light arrives from seven separate points, so shadows are multiplied and softened instead of being single and sharply drawn. The choice between Clear and Organic glass decides how much of that light is redirected on the way out: clear glass passes it straight through, organic glass bends and scatters it and throws patterns onto the surfaces nearby.

It suits a dining table, a stairwell, or a double-height entry where there is vertical room for the staggered drops to be read as a cluster. Hung under a low ceiling the heights collapse into a single line and the arrangement stops working.
