Wool Area Rug – Beige, Charcoal or Grey, Soft Textured Pile

A soft pile is a trade against a dense one. It feels better underfoot and it takes light more gently, but it also shows compression sooner. Wool is what makes the trade work: the fiber is elastic enough to lift back out of a furniture dent, and its natural crimp keeps the pile standing rather than lying over into a permanent sheen along a walking route.

The Charcoal is the one to choose for a room where the floor takes shoes and pets; the Beige for a bedroom, where the pile is walked on barefoot and rarely takes grit. The middle size, 6'6" x 9'8", is the common living-room dimension for a rug that carries the front legs of the seating.
