Moroccan Outdoor Area Rug – Faux Jute & Vegan Leather Geometric

Stacked diamonds, chevrons and broken bands run the length of this rug in the graphic shorthand of Moroccan flatweave. The field is faux jute, a synthetic spun to imitate the dry, ropey hand and warm straw color of the real fiber, with vegan leather worked in as accent detail along the pattern lines. Three sizes are offered, from 5' x 8' up to 9' x 12'.

Real jute darkens, softens and eventually rots once it stays wet, which is why it belongs indoors. The faux version does not take on water the same way, so a rug caught in a storm dries out instead of souring. The weave is flat rather than piled, so grit sits on the surface where a broom or a hose can move it instead of working down into the base, and the backing lets water pass through rather than holding it against the deck.

It suits a covered patio, a deck under a dining set, or a sunroom floor where sun and tracked-in dirt would wear an indoor rug faster. Indoors it does the same job in an entry or a mudroom. The dark-and-natural palette reads clearly against stone, wood decking and painted concrete.
