Textured Area Rug – Terrazzo or Albatross Colorway, Living Room

Two colorways with names that describe them. Terrazzo is flecked, contrasting specks scattered across a pale ground the way aggregate sits in poured stone. Albatross is the plainer and cooler of the two, closer to an even grey. Both are woven with a textured face rather than a smooth one, so each reads with visible grain at floor level. Four sizes are offered, 5'7" x 7'10" at the small end and 9'10" x 13'2" at the large.

A textured face conceals more than a flat one. The unevenness breaks up reflected light, so lint, crumbs and the tracks a vacuum leaves behind do not register the way they do across a smooth even pile. That matters in a living room floor walked over all day. The same texture is why the rug looks different from the doorway than it does from the sofa.

The largest size takes a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table with every leg on the rug. The smaller sizes suit a room where only the front legs of the seating sit on it and the floor shows around the edges.
